Merrick works with reputable attorneys and debt counselors to help our cardholders
address issues they may be having with their account. From our experience, customers
pursuing this course of action are typically looking to:
- Negotiate special re-payment options – we have a number of different settlement
and fixed payment programs we can offer depending on your special circumstances.
We will work with you to come up with a re-payment plan that works. To take advantage
of these programs, you or your agent must call us toll-free at 877–487–5598, Monday
through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
- OR -
- Dispute an error on your account – if you think your bill is wrong, or if
you need more information about a transaction on your bill, you can notify us of
a legitimate dispute by writing to us at Merrick Bank, P.O. Box 5000, Draper, UT
84020 and tell us the dollar amount of the suspected error and explain why you believe
there is an error.
Its our goal to work with you to help manage your account. Also, it's important
to understand that there are real consequences for not paying your Merrick Bank
credit card account that can affect your credit score, your ability to get other
forms of credit or even future employment opportunities.
While some of these organizations and individuals are legitimate and offer worthwhile
services to their clients, many do not. In fact, retaining the wrong counselor could
actually impair your ability to repay your debt and improve your credit rating.
Some are downright dishonest. See examples here.
Therefore, you should carefully evaluate any counselor or provider you may be considering.
Here is some information provided by the Federal Trade Commission that may assist you in choosing
